Day 3

Today, delegation of the day is "France".

This morning we woke up everybody with the French Touch signature song, the "toutouyoutou", for a tonic wake up! At breakfast, we had to make sandwiches, as it was Excursion Day!
We went to a science museum called Ahhaa!. There was a lot of interesting stuff about science, archaeology, nature! Some of us could ride a bike in the air, get lost in a mirror labyrinth, and play with water.
After that, we finally ate our sandwishes while waiting for the bus that took us to our next destination, the shopping mall! There, in small groups, we could go shopping, buy gifts for our families and for us, clothes and food!!
Everybody enjoyed their day! At the end of our shopping session, we came back to the camp, and had two activities.
First, the Polish delegation invited us to a Polish wedding, where we learned to dance and to sing a song. We then had an activity about our dreams for life with the Estonian delegation. All of this was very interesting!
After the usual lullabies, we went to bed with all new things we learned in our minds.

Day 2

Today Estonia was delegation of the day. It was quite cool to be delegation of the day. We woke up this morning before others and we woke everyone else up with a chicken song. And it was very loud! We could put the place mats in the dining room as well before the meals.
The morning activity was made by leaders and we had to find the hidden message. But it was written in different languages and delivered word by word. Very difficult and confusing but fun educational activity.
Today the delegations started to run the activities they had prepared at home for the camp. Italy had an activity about human rights. We had to choose the most important rights in smaller groups and build a chain of human rights from colored papers. Thank you for being brave first delegation to do their activity. It was interesting!
The French activity was also very cool. We had to find 8 colors. It was kind of Chinese Masters game. But after we had to make a human Eiffel Tower.
Today was very cool and we like that. We think that this CISV camp is very cool!
The third activity today was the most exciting for all of us! Since we have an excursion coming up, we needed our camp t-shirts. But they were not ready yet. Thanks to our camp theme and name, we got to color the logo on our t-shirts, just the way we wanted it :) The results are amazing!
Before bed time we of course had flag time and lullabies. And good night hugs.

Day 1

We experienced our very first full day at camp today. The activities were prepared by our wonderful staff and experienced leaders. But the delegates contributed a lot too, because today we talked about our camp rules, themes, and planning - all very important, keeping the rest of the camp in mind.

So, we asked the delegates what are the "do"s and "don't"s of the camp, discussed them together and signed it, that we all agree!
We also brainstormed both the wider theme - diversity, and our camp name "We are rainbows". We had so many insightful, clever, and great answers as a result!
We are using these lists to plan our activities in the future and today, the 5 planning groups met for the first time.
We already have some activities to look forward to, and so do our plentiful readers!
The evening ended with various smaller cooperative activities, but the biggest and the most exciting one is the Monito (Secret Friend) game. We got to design our Monito envelopes and draw a name. What shall we find in those envelopes tomorrow and days after that? Only time will tell.

Betweem these activities, we of course did flag-time, ate our meals and snacks, had siesta time, shower, delegation time, lullabies, and got to know all these unique people we are at camp with!

With love,
the leaders

The staff had to wake up early and prepare a lot of things for the camp.

In the afternoon parts of the delegations started arriving here. Most of them were staying with host families who then brought them here. As soon as the whole delegation was here they had a tour around the campsite.

Once everyone had settled in and even played some basketball we had the first meal of the camp.

Later we all met in the gym and talked about the rules and the schedule

Then we made our place mats which are used in the dining room to decide who sits where.

From now on the blog posts will be written by the delegation of the day :)

It has begun

It's 1.20 a.m and the staff is having a long long night preparing everything for the camp.

There have already been a few problems with the delegations getting from Tallinn to Tartu but everything is great now.

We have had a long long day here at the campsite. We received help from a lot of people from the chapter. Thank you!!!

We are exhausted but extremely excited. We just can't wait to meet all the delegations and start having the best time ever.

It will be amazing!!!
